Now is the Time
Lamplighter has unearthed valuable treasure and is committed to sharing these jewels of hidden truth. We are reminded of the parable found in Matthew 13:
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
Another significant factor has led us to believe that now is the time to launch Lamplighter Theatre. Recently Mark and his wife Debbie were invited to participate in a strategic planning meeting at Focus on the Family. Little did they know that God had them there for another purpose as well. God’s perfect timing was evident. Several of the producers, writers, and creators of Focus’s popular Adventures in Odyssey radio broadcast had been laid off due to financial cutbacks. Within that same week they found themselves meeting with these same creative individuals and immediately sensed a kindred spirit, with similar goals and aspirations to influence our culture with redemptive truth.
After realizing the spiritual depth and rich history of Lamplighter stories, these gifted writers knew they had indeed found a treasure. Immediately a new relationship was forged and Lamplighter Theatre was birthed
It did not take long to make the decision, even in light of our struggling economic times, to lay everything on the altar to make Lamplighter Theatre a reality. Having found the experienced and talented artists who could create world class redemptive stories, the stage is now set to provide years of life-transforming family drama for the next generation. While millions of children and adults have enjoyed reading Lamplighter’s gripping stories, we now have the opportunity to reach millions more through radio drama. Radio stations have expressed strong interest in Lamplighter Theatre; they believe there is a great need for fresh, exciting, spiritually rich material for family listening.

Contacting Your Local Radio Station
While we want to spread the word to as many radio stations as possible, we do not want to cause undue stress on them with hundreds of phone calls. If you would like to contact a local radio station in regards to broadcasting the Sir Malcolm and the Missing Prince dramatic audio we recommend you do so with a brief e-mail informing them that you'd like to hear it on that station.
