Dear Mark,
I think our last two letters to each other crossed in the mail. I apologize again for my delay in writing to you. Towards the end of each month, my ten free letters are used up for the month and I have no choice but to wait until the new month to send letters.
I am a little puzzled by your last letter in which you asked if I had received the book(s) that you sent to me. If you sent me more than one book, I guess it was lost or misplaced. The only book I received here was If I Perish. That is an excellent read. I was not expecting that because you had indicated in a prior letter that you wanted me to read Ishmael. You said it was the best book you ever read. I know you read a lot of books so I am sure Ishmael must be a good read to have rated so highly with you. In fact, I was looking forward to reading Ishmael when I received If I Perish from you. (which is one of the best books I have ever read. I was inspired so much by that story. I am continuing again my prayers and in strengthening myself spiritually so that I might live and lead a life that will be pleasing to God and share with others the joy and peace that comes from the knowledge of His teachings.
I don’t know if I am building character…one story at a time (as your letterhead suggests) but I am certainly learning and growing.
As always, I thank you for your letters, friendship and the inspiration I have gained from your guidance.
