Word Is Out

"We who preach and write, do so in a manner different from which the Scriptures have been written. We write while we make progress. We learn something new every day. We speak as we still knock for understanding...If anyone criticizes me when I have said what is right, he does me an injustice. But I would be more angry with the one who praises me and takes what I have written for Gospel truth than I would be with the one who criticizes me unfairly. Augustine

Nahum 1:7

A friend of mine recently went to be with the Lord but before he departed he shared his favorite Scripture with me from the book of Nahum:

"The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.."

Without believing in the first part of this verse, it will be difficult to believe the rest when the day of adversity comes. As I look back on my thirty year relationship with this living God,  I can attest that he is truly good. If you haven't put this verse to memory, this is an easy one to put under your cap.
