Word Is Out

"We who preach and write, do so in a manner different from which the Scriptures have been written. We write while we make progress. We learn something new every day. We speak as we still knock for understanding...If anyone criticizes me when I have said what is right, he does me an injustice. But I would be more angry with the one who praises me and takes what I have written for Gospel truth than I would be with the one who criticizes me unfairly. Augustine

Behind the scenes of The Missing Prince: The Flying Axe

Everyone hear at Lamplighter is very excited about tomorrow's release of our first dramatic audio, Sir Malcolm and the Missing Prince.  I thought I would give you a glimpse of some of the things that go on behind the scenes. Wait till you hear this production…simply beyond words!  http://www.lamplighterpublishing.com/sirmalcolm.html  Read below:

Hi Mark,

Thought you might appreciate Mark Drury's comments in red on what it takes to create a complicated custom sound.

Scene 27

Simply amazing how you got the axe planting in the dirt and the swirling axe.   Thanks, this was an especially challenging effect to pull off…it had to be comical without being cartoonish, but needed the sense of it flying end over end into the tree.  Took about 3 hours just to create that 2-sec. sound!

John
