While in seminary a professor looked at us one day and said, “If the Lord tarries, some day there will be archeological excavations of our western civilization and when they find evidence of the tv or computer screen in each dwelling, they will believe that they found the families personal gods, like we are finding today in the east.” It does seem apparent that foreign gods have crept into our homes. Deliverance comes with a decision to not allow foreign gods take the place of our Lord God. The day that I decided not to allow the media to control my life, was the day that I experienced a very unusual experience…while walking in my yard, a bald eagle flew over my head…it was the first time I had ever seen a bald eagle in my life. And to my knowledge, no one had ever seen one in this area before. Whether God scheduled this event, I do not know...since He governs all the affairs of man, I would think He did. Whether it was meant to be some kind of sign, I do not know. However, it did remind me that when we are not entangled by earthly stuff, we can enjoy soaring like an Eagle. By the way, I have never seen the color of white like I saw on that eagle…the colors in the new earth are going to be spectacular!
