Motivating Teens
I'm looking for something to challenge my 16 year old. He just seems
to lack motivation in any area right now. He's not even concerned
about getting his driver's license! He has been on church mission
trips before, but we are trying to figure out what would be best for
him at this point.
Dear Parent:
The books I would heartily recommend for your son are Ishmael and Self Raised and Shipwrecked and Robbers Cave, and in that order. Oh, one more...actually two...Thoughts for Young Men for devotions and Raising a Modern Day Knight for father's and sons. The Book Finding a Job you can Really Love is also an eye opener, helping both parent and teen to discern what natural abilities they have for what career. I hope this is helpful. Ishmael will be an incredible example for him..an inspiring model! Mark
