The author did a wonderful job describing how God worked in Gerties life, and consequently in all of our lives. He brought her light, unconditional love and salvation. The many characters and circumstances are artfully interwoven and you cant help but be drawn into the story. It is a wonderful choice for family read alouds and may spark discussion about Gods providence, mercy and love. If you have never purchased a Lamplighter book before, let this be your first. Be warned however, you may no no longer be satisfied with anything less! |
