Servanthood Parenting - Does it Work?

A couple months ago I purchased your "Life Transforming Seminars", volume 1 because I was feeling very overwhelmed raising my 4 children. Last night I found a beautiful letter under my pillow from my oldest daughter who is 11.
Your cd's really helped me, because I am very strong willed, and I use to get angry (past tense!) with my children quite often. I appreciate your view on serving (story of advice given to the mom to make her daughter's bed). I have taken that advice with my girls and helping them keep their room neat.
The beginning of the letter from my daughter is "What can I say, but that you have been such a servant to me especially cleaning my room!". She typed a whole page thanking me for serving her and the family, and saying that when she grew up she would treasure the times we've had together and she would miss them. She ended by saying she loved me more than the entire world!. This letter is priceless.
In conjunction with what I got out of your seminar, I recently had my eyes opened to another aspect of raising the children. I have been trying to lose a mere 10 lbs. to regain my pre pregnant weight. I've been very strict with my diet, and exercising regularly. At first I was obsessed with weighing and measuring my progress. I would get so discouraged because the scale would not change. The Lord spoke to me to stop weighing and measuring. I should not be focused on the result, but focused on doing what is the right thing to do - being a good steward over my body, and the results would follow. I saw the connection with raising my children. I was too focused on how they behave around other people, wanting the results of good parenting, but not focusing on spending time with them to do the good parenting.
I just wanted to let you know how much your seminar is helping me.
